Applicants who pass their preliminary auditions are invited by the Admissions Office to submit the Academic Review Paperwork listed below. Once invited, applicants will be able to upload their documents through their Application Portals. All Academic Review Paperwork for applicants applying for priority consideration will be due no later than February 10, 2025.
Applicants who submit paperwork after February 12th will still be considered, but may be moved into The Academy’s rolling admissions process. Rolling applicants are considered for admission and tuition assistance on a case-by-case basis after all priority applicants have been assessed and spaces remain available in each arts department.
Academic Review Paperwork:
Current grades with attendance
Official school transcript with attendance from previous two years of schooling (example: 8th grade applicants require 7th and 6th grade transcripts with attendance)
LMAIS Recommendation Letter from current Head of School or School Counselor
Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) results (ISEE school code: 140627, SSAT school code: 2374)
On a case by case basis, students who submit a full neuropsychological evaluation with full math, reading, and writing scores from within the past year may not be required to submit ISEE or SSAT scores. Please contact the Admissions Office to confirm.
Parent/Guardian interview
If applicable: any additional documentation (IEP, 504 Plan, neuropsychological evaluation, etc.)
As a small school with a strong commitment to supporting families through open communication and partnership, we require all prospective parents and guardians to schedule a 30-minute interview with the Director of Enrollment Management after advancing through the live audition. This is a valuable opportunity for parents and guardians to ask questions and for The Academy to get to know you and your family better.
Homeschool Applicants
Students who recently attended a homeschool educational setting will be asked to submit as much paperwork from the list above as possible. Importantly, homeschool applicants will be required to submit ISEE or SSAT test results. The Admissions team will be happy to work with you if you have any questions about the process.
